In the Age d'Or gift set (top left, circa 1984), the '57 Eldorado has a pewter-like
finish; it includes also an unlikely 1930-31 V-16 wagon in gold finish

Solido also put out this toy with various advertising
decals (in this case "Jim Beam" liquor)

Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz; it features an unusual
continental kit imprint on the rear deck;

Luke Sanz added: This is a 1:43 scale white metal model of a 1957 Cadillac
Eldorado Brougham by Brooklin Models (BRK 27A). The "A" designates
that it is a revised and updated version of the earlier BRK 27.

DEPARTMENT 56, USA

Brougham enthusiast and friend, Jerry Jansson of Sweden, tipped me off
to this "toy" in the catalog of a company called Department 56. Introduced
Novemver 2003, it is item #56.55536, measures 5¼ x 2¾ x 1½" and retails for $28.
As Jerry says, it looks like it could be made of plaster and marshmallow !

FRANKLIN MINT, USA

The first scale-model (kit) of the 1957/58 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham
was issued by Revell, USA.  This one is from the Franklin Mint, circa 1999;
it is highly detailed and, consequently, very expensive

   
The Franklin Mint replica comes only in black; that fact has inspired a keen enthusiast
to create his own, personal series, based on actual cars and colors delivered by Cadillac;
here we see work in progress on car #350 of which only a single one was painted Bahama Blue
[ interiors, of course, will be color coordinated also to match the original cars ]

REVELL, USA

    
This is the first scale-model (kit) of the 1957/58 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham issued
by Revell, USA, in 1/24 scale; it was re-issued in the late eighties; on the right
is a factory promotional built-up kit of the Revell replica, complete with the two scale figurines

From the author's former collection too comes this conversion of the stock, Revell Eldorado Brougham kit
into the unique, 1956 Eldorado Brougham Town Car that toured the Motorama circuit that year;  
showing off the true scale of the toy (left) is a one-ounce atomizer bottle of Arpege perfume extract from Lanvin,
Paris; this accessory was standard equipment with each of the 704 Eldorado Brougham models built in 1957/58

This would-be fastback version of the Cadillac Eldorado Brougham
is for the skilled model maker; it is an empty Fiberglas shell

panel that stretches from the rear bumper to the rear door could do with being painted silver for added realism

   
Much rarer is this version of the same toy, in metallic light green (above two rows)
(notice the difference in labeling of  the two boxes: one reads "Matchbox", the other "Moko")

and each one comes factory-mounted on a Mint T-Jet Chassis; most are fitted with custom wheels

to be the worst; the front clip is a mix of 1957 (the grille design) and 1958

These bodies too are from  JPS (USA), circa 1990 These are resin kits in 1/43 scale and the bodies are
already painted. They come complete with bumpers and interior (not just the bodies).   Previously,
the same molds were used by Record (a small firm from Aix-en-Provence, France) also for kits, but unpainted.
The quality of the  cast is quite high.
Available were the following versions: Eldorado Convertible, Eldorado Seville, Fleetwood 60
Special, Sedan de Ville, Coupe de Ville and Series 62 Convertible, all from 1958

superbly detailed models that were subsequently issued every year for the next more than twenty years;
the earliest ones (1958 through 1962) tend to suffer from plastic warpage; considering the fine condition of the two
cars shown  here, I imagine they are the re-issued Jo-Han kits that were  brought out in the seventies
